Integration of Open BIM Workflow in Autodesk Revit
Recently in the office we tested the integration of a new platform for work between several teams of different offices. This platform is called Open BIM and has good integration with Autodesk Revit.
The Open BIM platform allows projects to be saved and synced directly into the cloud server of BIMserver.center. The platform also has the option to view your 3D models when you sign in with your website profile. This option is similar to the option you have on the A360 / BIM360.
Step 1: First you need to go to the BIMserver.center site and sign up as registration is free.
Step 2: Then log into the BIM Server Center Store and download Revit add-in, which is also free.
Step 3: Then install the 2 files that are located in the “Installation in English” folder.
Open BIM also have mobile apps for the App Store and Google Play, from which you can open your models.
The good thing is that the platform allows you to register a free account with 1 GB of cloud space.
In the video below you can look Open BIM platform demonstration with one test project at our office:
We will be happy to help you with installation or work on the platform shown.
